ILLUSTRATION

Some of my illustrations are freehand and some are reproduced tracing layers of photographs that deserved a new life. In the beginning, and to accommodate a frustrating lack of resources, I began using Adobe's free suite of mobile applications like Draw, Sketch (now Fresco) and Capture to open up new possibilities of creation. The process hasn't changed much since then, though the techniques I employ have.

WRITING

My whole career is words, one way or another. I love writing, but it is a love borne of struggle and has often been hidden behind the names of others. Beyond the spectrum of editing I do in service of other hopeful authors, I regularly practice letter writing, short form essays and even a small bit of poetry, time to time. Soon, I will link my portfolio of writing here.

PHOTOGRAPHY

I started my journey 20 years ago as a film-based photographer, a craft I still practice in 35mm and 120 medium format. To keep up with the times, I also shoot digitally on my mirrorless camera and, well, with my phone. Have a look at the work I select for my Instagram feed, which I use to document the comings and goings of my own life and the world as it unfolds around me.
